Gandhi Tribute in Amsterdam Brings Peace Advocates Together

Indian and Dutch participants came together in the Dutch capital for a ceremony honouring Mahatma Gandhi, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around Gandhian principles of peace, compassion and respect for human dignity.
The gathering, held at Amsterdam’s Gandhi statue, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. The meeting opened conversations about future cooperation in peace awareness, human rights and youth initiatives.
The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is rooted in the humanitarian work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.
Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, highlighted the eu news this week importance of cooperation across different beliefs and backgrounds, stressing that knowledge of human rights can support social cohesion and democratic resilience.
